Religious and social evils were bound to interact and influence each other. Similarly he believed that religion and politics are inseparable. A socially degenerated society cannot demand, obtain and enjoy political rights. He, therefore, suggested that religion and society must be reformed tor successful political set up. It was due to his efforts that the Deccan Education Society was founded. Ranade influenced Gokhale and Tilak.
